Want to spice up your party? Hire a Russian Fire Performer!
I am known as Zaika. I am a fire dancer, poi spinnstress, flag twirler, an entertainer and of course a performer. I have now added fire fans and fire staff to my repertoire and I can't wait to share!
My journey in discovering the art of dancing started when I was 8 years old. I grew up in Russia and studied competitive ballroom dancing for over 5 years, since it was and still is extremely popular there. It was this experience that sparked my interest in performance arts. I was also on a Stanford Ballroom Dance Formation Team and hoping to continue to do so once my schedule permits to be back for regular and consistent dance practice.
I've grown up quite a bit since coming to the U.S. in 2002 to start a new life and discover this amazing country. In 2009 I saw my first fire performance. It was incredible. I was enthralled, and I had to find out where I could learn how to fire dance. I simply had to do it, no matter what happened.
As fate would have it, I was lucky enough to be very close to a great school of fire dancing, Temple of Poi, right in the beautiful city of San Francisco, California. Isa "GlitterGirl" Isaacs is the founder of Temple of Poi, the world's first poi fire dancing school, established in 2002. As an entrepreneur and artist, her mission has been to make flow arts available to everyone through high quality education while also bringing awareness of this art form into the spot light through community events and public fire dancing shows. She has been and still is an incredible mentor, teacher and inspiration to me as a performer and as a fire dancer. By the way, if you decide you ever want to learn, Temple of Poi is the way to go, and if you mention my name to Isa, you can get a discount on your beginner move series classes there!
So here I am, hoping to continue to learn, improve and share with the world the astonishing art of fire and poi dancing. I have had the pleasure of performing amongst crowds as big as 200+ and as small as a single close friend or family member. I am happy to help you spice up a corporate event, birthday party, anniversary party or a private house party. I have quite an extensive gallery of photos and a couple of videos with fire poi spinning as well as LED lights poi spinning for inside performances.
Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon. :)
